About The Author

First of all, allow me to introduce myself. I’m Kylie. I am:

  • 25 years old (which still feels weird to say out loud)
  • Married to the love of my life
  • Dog mom to my baby Moose
  • An ex-division one college athlete
  • Lover of all things raves and EDM
  • An enneagram 9 wing 1 (think people pleasing perfectionist)
  • Avid reader and booktok girlie

If you knew me way back when, you probably remember me as an athlete– a shy, quiet, goodie-two-shoes nerd who was destined for a relatively normal life. In college, I played soccer, and unfortunately got hurt my junior season with a career-ending injury. With soccer gone, on top of everything else I had already been through, I really had to sit and think about who I was- how I wanted to spend my time, and what I wanted to do with my life. I had already been through SO much, and I knew that if it didn’t make me happy, I didn’t want it. So, I just decided to go for it.

Fast forward to now, and I’ve successfully failed at so many things. I started and grew a pretty successful Virtual Assistant business with no training, ran a version of this blog, and attempted to get into the world of online courses. I learned SO much from all of these experiences and am so grateful that I took risks. My post college life has completely changed who I am as a person in the best way possible. I’m not so quiet anymore, and I’m not afraid to go after what I want. I know how to say no, set boundaries for myself, and be in charge when I need to be. I take risks and messy actions. I know I’m not perfect, and I don’t try to be. I guess my point is that it’s okay to grow out of who you used to be. It’s only going to lead you to finding out who you really are. We all go through things, and I’m a firm believer that everything happens to us for a reason. This blog is a representation of that – sharing all of the things I’ve been through that have hurt me, broken me down, and ultimately shaped me into the person I am today. I hope my words can help you feel inspired and serve as a reminder that you are enough, just as you are.

Sincerely,

Kylie <3
